The AOD series Ozone Destruct Unit utilizes a thermal-catalytic method to remove excess ozone. The destructor device uses Carulite 200 as a catalyst to enhance the process. Catalytic destruction involves breaking down ozone into oxygen molecules using this material. The catalytic reaction is essential for converting ozone back into oxygen, ensuring the effectiveness of the ozone destructor. The ozone does not consume Carulite 200 and is a safe material that is not considered hazardous waste.[/fusion_text][fusion_accordion inactive_icon=”fa-angle-down fas” active_icon=”fa-angle-up fas” hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility” boxed_mode=”yes” border_size=”1″ border_color=”#ebebeb” hover_color=”#ffffff” background_color=”#ffffff” title_tag=”h4″ fusion_font_family_title_font=”Inter” fusion_font_variant_title_font=”500″ title_font_size=”42″ title_color=”#333333″ icon_size=”18″ icon_color=”#333333″ icon_boxed_mode=”no” icon_alignment=”right” content_color=”#333333″ toggle_hover_accent_color=”#333333″ toggle_active_accent_color=”#333333″][fusion_toggle title=”Specifications” open=”no” fusion_font_family_title_font=”Inter” fusion_font_variant_title_font=”400″ title_font_size=”20px” title_text_transform=”uppercase” title_color=”#222222″ fusion_font_family_content_font=”Inter” fusion_font_variant_content_font=”400″ content_font_size=”20″ content_color=”#333333″]

These are inexpensive ozone destruct units, made for removing high concentrations of ozone efficiently. The stainless steel construction ensures it can covert any concentration of ozone into harmless oxygen.
- 99.9% Efficient
- Stainless Steel Construction
- Low-pressure drop (up to 0.02 bar)
- O2 & minimal heat is the only by-products
- Quick & easy hook-up
The AOD destructors are compact ozone destruct devices compatible with moisture-saturated ozone gas streams (except AOD2002). A heater band is used in conjunction with piping configurations, in order to keep water vapors from condensing on the destruct media. The device must be mounted in an upright position to maintain efficient operation and moisture removal. For very wet air (contact tank off-gas), we recommend using a water trap to remove bulk moisture.

Ozone off-gas can be treated with an ozone destructor, which converts ozone into oxygen rapidly and without emitting any toxic gases, such as carbon monoxide or carbon dioxide. All ozone destructors are complete with catalytic materials and quick coupling.
Either end will function as the inlet or outlet. The exit of the AOD can be left open to the atmosphere or piped to an outside area, away from personnel. The AOD is designed to have a maximum of 0.01 ppm ozone concentration at its exit when operated at its rated flow or below. Be sure that the ozone flow rate does not exceed the specifications for the unit. If the flow rate is too high, complete ozone destruction will not take place.
In the event that the catalyst becomes wet, such as when process water accidentally flows into the unit or water vapor condenses on the catalyst, the catalyst should be replaced. The ozone destruction efficiency might be reduced due to the possible contamination of the moisture and/ or water.
In the event the desiccant inside of the ozone destruct unit requires replacement, a new desiccant can be purchased from Absolute Ozone. By removing the fitting(s) from one end of the product, the old desiccant can then be poured out and replaced with new media.

Using the Carulite 200 catalyst, absolute ozone destructors offer numerous benefits to ensure the safe and efficient destruction of residual ozone. The incorporation of Carulite 200 allows for rapid and reliable conversion of ozone to oxygen, thereby minimizing the risk of exposure to elevated levels of ozone that can be harmful to health and the environment. In addition, these destructors ensure compliance with environmental regulations by keeping ozone concentrations within permitted limits, which is critical in various industries. Another significant benefit is the durability and low maintenance of the Carulite 200, which reduces the need for frequent replacements and contributes to a more profitable long-term operation. Therefore, Absolute Ozone destructors with Carulite 200 are an ideal choice for those seeking safety, efficiency and cost-effectiveness in ozone management.
