We do not recommend bubbling ozone through oil (unless a minimal amount is being treated) because it is inefficient, and the reaction takes a long time. In addition, it can spark a fire, which can lead to a fire or explosion due to the exothermic reaction between ozone and oil.

HERE ARE SOME RECOMMENDATIONS TO CONSIDER BEFORE STARTING THE PROCESS:

  • It’s advisable not to process olive oil until it’s dry and no longer alive (which is the standard practice in the industry), as this method destroys all its beneficial components. Instead, it’s better to process it only to eliminate its colour, so it doesn’t stain the skin, and remove its smell, as some people find the scent of olive oil unpleasant. By doing this, the olive oil will have a longer shelf life while retaining its healing properties.
  • It is important to note that ozone is not responsible for the healing properties of treated olive oil. Remember that no ozone is left in the oil after just a few hours.
